I said goodbye to a good friend today. A friend I could always depend on during tough times. A friend who always managed to lighten the heaviest of moods, who shared warmth whenever an end-of-the-world concern furrowed my brow. When times were good and happiness filled the air, she never failed to add a special touch of her own to the joy. She inspired when inspiration was lacking, she commiserated when sorrow marred the day. What she did for me she did for others in my life as well.
For all this I say a heartfelt, “Thank You!” and “Goodbye.” Today she reached the end of her trail. Her day is done, her race is run.
I’ll now take my dead Cuisinart Coffee Maker to the dumpster. I’m looking forward to a long run with the new Keurig Coffee/Latte Maker I picked up at Target today!
