I was working at home with the TV show “The Doctors” on in the background when attorney and author Ann-Margaret Carrozza let fly the word “HAIR-assment”. Well, “harassment” is pronounced “her-ASS-ment”, darlin’. I realize some people have issues with vocalizing what are essentially the street names for anatomical parts (in this case, “her ass”) but going to the length of changing pronunciations is just silly. Yes, Mrs. Carrozza is kinda hot.
Nevertheless, any suggestiveness in the pronunciation would simply be imagined. Albeit, in her case, in a good way. So, say it. Come on, out loud: her-ASS-ment. Embrace it.
So what’s next, Uranus and a triggered fear of hemorrhoids?
